A Primary Care Trust (PCT)in the Home Counties needed a temperature controlled delivery service to manage the distribution of the Swine Flu Vaccine throughout the PCT's area. High grade storage was the first part of the solution, supported by refrigerated vans delivering the vaccines directly to the point of use, Doctor's surgeries and Health Centres, both on scheduled delivery routes and as a back up, an emergency as and when required service for those last minute requirements that simply must happen, regardless of the time, day or night.
As many of the PCT's are stating we're not out the woods yet with the Swine Flu threat, we really cannot tell whether we are seeing a true decline in repoprted cases and this can change at short notice and we are dependent upon having a company that understands the sensitive nature of the vaccine, the need for exact temperature control and the ability to react quickly when we need to.
